Reversely's face shape detector analyzes an uploaded photo, then asks $9.99 per search to unlock the result. Our detector runs the same job in your browser, free: the photo never leaves your device and the result is not paywalled.
What Reversely Does
Reversely.ai is an image search and recognition company; its main products are reverse image search and an AI face search for finding people through images, sold through subscription pricing plans. The face shape detector is one of its side tools. You upload a front-facing photo, the tool maps facial points and measures face length, forehead width, cheekbone width and jawline width, plus eyebrow shape, then names one of six classes: oval, heart, oblong, square, round or diamond. Its page describes the classification as an AI model comparing your facial structure against thousands of reference samples, and publishes no thresholds for any class. Its FAQ states that uploaded images are deleted automatically after analysis and are never saved or shared. The result itself sits behind a paywall: the analysis screen offers to unlock it at $9.99 per search, listed down from $17.99.
What We Do Differently
- The result is free: our detector shows the class, the measurements and the margin at no charge, with no unlock step. Reversely prices the unlock per search.
- On-device, not upload-then-delete: our scan runs in your browser and the photo never leaves your device, so no deletion promise is needed. Reversely uploads the photo first and promises deletion after analysis.
- Thresholds you can read: we publish the ratios that sort a face into each of seven classes, including triangle, which Reversely's six-class list does not carry. A result you can check beats a match against reference samples you cannot see.
Side by Side
This table states only what each product has published on its own pages. Reversely's photo-deletion claim is reported here exactly as its FAQ states it, because a fair comparison quotes the competitor's own page, not a worse version of it.
| Factor | Reversely | Us |
|---|---|---|
| Result access | $9.99 per search to unlock, listed down from $17.99 | Free, no unlock step |
| Photo handling | Uploaded to its servers; its FAQ states photos are deleted automatically after analysis | Never uploaded; the scan runs in your browser |
| Method published | AI model compared against thousands of reference samples; no thresholds published | Four measured spans with published thresholds and a printed margin |
| Shape classes | Six: oval, heart, oblong, square, round, diamond | Seven, adding triangle |
| Main business | Reverse image search and face search subscriptions | On-device facial measurement |

Priced Per Search
The pricing model is the structural difference between the two tools. Reversely charges at the moment of the answer: the upload and the progress screen are free, and the unlock is priced per search, so a second photo means a second charge. A face shape is a stable measurement, which makes per-search pricing an odd fit: the answer does not change between searches unless the face does. Our detector charges nothing at that moment, because the free measurement is the product working as designed, not a preview of it. Run the AI Face Shape Detector as many times as you like, then take the class it prints to the glasses by face shape guide and pick frames with the logic in the open.
