FaceRate.ai scores a face out of 10 from an uploaded photo and also offers personality and emotion readings from the image. We score geometry only: a free scan on your device, with the formula published and nothing uploaded.
What FaceRate.ai Does
FaceRate.ai is an upload-based face analysis site that returns an attractiveness score out of 10, and its own homepage describes the rest of the offering plainly: a detailed rating of individual features such as eyes, nose, mouth and face shape, a face shape analyzer, and a golden ratio test for symmetry, which it presents as a science-based rating. The site accepts a photo upload or a written description of a face, and its own FAQ confirms the description-only route works without a photo. One feature goes further than scoring: an artistic face generation tool that, in the site's own words, gives insights into personality, emotions and expressions. A privacy policy page exists; a price for any of this is not stated on the homepage we checked, and a sign-in option is present.
What We Do Differently
- Nothing uploads: FaceRate.ai analyzes a photo you send it. Our free scan runs the entire measurement in your browser, and the photo never leaves your device. There is no signup and no sign-in option, because no account exists to sign into.
- A formula you can read: our score comes from a documented 478-landmark facial analysis, with each component's weight published and the formula versioned. Try it on the free AI attractiveness test, or rate a specific photo with the rate my face scan.
- Geometry only, on purpose: we never generate personality, emotion or character readings from a face. A landmark model measures angles and distances. It does not know who you are, and a tool that claims otherwise is describing its imagination, not your face.
Side by Side
This table states only what each product publishes on its own pages. Where FaceRate.ai does not publish a fact on the page we checked, the row says not stated instead of a guessed value.

Why We Refuse the Personality Reading
The sharpest difference between the two products is the one we decline to compete on. Reading personality, emotion or character from a still photograph is physiognomy, and it does not work. A landmark model can measure a canthal tilt in degrees and a jaw angle against a norm, and those measurements are checkable by anyone who reads our methodology. No landmark tells anyone whether you are kind, confident or intelligent, and a generated paragraph claiming it can is entertainment wearing a lab coat. We keep the boundary explicit because the boundary is the product: a score here is a statement about geometry in one photograph, never a verdict on the person in it.
